JLG Telehandlers Hawaii
John L. Grove decided to retire after spending numerous years working along with his brother to be able to build their crane construction business into a global leader. His wife Cora as well as John celebrated their retirement by going on a cross-country trip utilizing their R.V. After that journey, JLG Industries, Inc. emerged and became the global leading manufacturer of specialized material handling machinery and mobile aerial work platforms.
During the R.V. journey, John spent much of the time talking to prior business associates that the Groves stopped to visit along their journey. When they visited the Hoover Dam, sadly, 2 employees were accidentally electrocuted on scaffolding. During subsequent conversations, John discovered a huge untapped market for a product which can safely and quickly lift people into the air in order to carry out construction and maintenance work.
John decided to take action after John and his wife returned from the journey. He began a partnership with two close friends when they bought a small metal fabrication company within McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. In the year 1970, with an initial crew of 20 workers, the trio built and sold the first JLG aerial work platform. Numerous parts of the basic design elements of that original machine are still being integrated into the current product
The company has come a very long way ever since John L. Grove drove back into town from his cross-country journey and have grown dramatically ever since they debuted their very first aerial work platform. Even nowadays, JLG continues to expand into additional worldwide markets. Numerous innovative machines are made to help clients work safer and be more productive.
JLG has remained dedicated to being at the forefront of the industry. The company takes operator comfort into consideration really seriously. They try to deliver in safety and overall comfort, as well as in performance so that the driver could be as productive as possible.
