Motorized Pallet Truck
The Walkie-Rider, Walkie or Rider is a Motorized Pallet Truck which is essentially a motorized type of a pallet jack. They are available in both "Rider" versions as well as "Walkie" models.
The walkie model as the name implies, is made to allow the operator to walk alongside the machine as they lift and move cargo. The operator stands on a small platform on the Rider model. The rider models are ideal for frequent transporting of loads over extended distances in manufacturing operations and warehouses. They are extremely fast and maneuverable.
It is not recommended to lift and transport tall or unstable loads as there are no safety cages on these models. A rider can be the best answer if you are searching for a cheap method for moving cargo from point A to point B. If though, you are required to transport heavy loads short distances, and prefer to utilize a more employee-friendly unit rather than a pallet jack, the walkie model can be the right choice.
Order Selector
An Order Selector also goes by the name of Order picker. This machine is specifically designed for manual handling of less-than-pallet-load quantities in racking. There are fixed forks connected to a platform in the Man-up design. This platform elevates both the load and the operator in an effort to facilitate manual unloading and loading from racking areas.
Order Selectors are normally very narrow aisle vehicles that can operate in aisles of less than six feet. They are extremely handy pieces of equipment in physical inventories as well as during cycle counting situations. Order selectors are available in lift heights up to 40 feet high, though models which range in the 20 to 30 foot range are much more popular.
